The City of Dublin will have 499 street poles painted as part of the Annual Street Light and Traffic Control Pole Painting Program.
Brian Bros Painting & Restoration was hired to complete the project as part of our 2024-2029 Community Improvements Plan. Work is anticipated to proceed through October 2024. A map of the maintenance is included above.
Work will take place between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
- In progress- July 29 to Aug. 2: Emerald Parkway and Hard Road
- July 29 to Aug. 2: Village Parkway and Tuller Road
- Upcoming- Aug. 6: West Dublin Granville Road to West Bridge Street near the Riverside Drive roundabout.
- Crews will close the westbound lane on the Bridge Street bridge for approximately two hours starting at 9 a.m. Signs and cones will be placed to direct traffic.
While there will be minimal traffic impacts, the City asks motorists to drive cautiously around the utility painters and #SlowDownDublin.
The paint acts as a protective layer, preventing rot and other damage, which helps extend the lifespan of the poles. This maintenance can prevent costly replacements in the future. Additionally, well-maintained light poles contribute to the overall aesthetic appeal for both residents and visitors.
